Indoor cycling has really taken off over the last year. With so many people being unable to get out and about during the pandemic, indoor cycling has offered a bit of respite from the daily routine and a way to get some exercise at the same time. Cycling studios are well aware of that. And as the country slowly reopens, some of them are starting to advertise free classes for first timers.
A free class is just what its name implies. You get to pedal and sweat alongside other cyclists without paying a dime. More often than not, free classes are aimed at beginners. However, studios do offer freebies to advanced riders as a way to get them in the door.

1. Learn About the Sport
If you have never tried indoor cycling before, a free class is an excellent opportunity to familiarize yourself with the sport. It gets you on a bike without requiring you to invest hundreds of dollars in equipment and clothing. You get to try before you buy, so to speak. If nothing else, a free class will give you a good idea of what you could be getting yourself into.
2. Experience Classes First-Hand
Maybe you already know what indoor cycling is like. You have a bike at home, and you put in 20 to 30 minutes five days a week. That’s awesome. But indoor cycling in a class environment is completely different.
